Pregnancy is a Two Way Street

(download)

I'm entering my 36th week of pregnancy and am getting excited at every turn. New movements, a bigger tummy and the slow gait of my walk shows me that Baby Bottigliero is baking away and getting ready to say hello to her mama soon.

I couldn't have done this without my amazing and loving husband, Michael. With rides to work, helping in the kitchen, back rubs, letting me rest as much as needed, he's been the kind of partner that all women should have in pregnancy. His recent decision to leave work a month early has done wonders for not only our marriage, the rest of the pregnancy, but also our home. When I'm away at the office, our home is his new office as he crafts wine lists, articles and continues to pursue his career in comfort - and being on call if I need anything or if a scary situation may pop up.

He's attended the majority of my pre-natal appointments and makes it a point to ask the midwives as many questions as possible. He also endured 6 weeks of Natural Childbirth Class - at three hours a pop.

He's installed new lighting, draperies, a new crib, rocking chair, moved in a new set of furniture and makes constant trips to Goodwill to drop off the clothes and items I continue to go through.

The video below is just a sampling of how understanding and helpful my hubby's been. I say thank you to him every day, but he always responds with, 'You're carrying our baby, this is the least I can do to take care of my two girls'.

I'll say it again, Thanks, Babe.
