Pregnant Chicagoland Ladies: Need to Borrow a Winter Coat?

I picked up this warm, cute number at Target when I was pregnant  - wore it for about 1.5 months before Liljana came early. If you or any pregnant gal you know in Chicagoland would like to borrow this coat for the duration of her pregnancy this winter, please let me know. Be happy to loan it out. Just return it in nice condition so I can loan it out again next fall and/or use it again one day:).  I live in the South Loop.

Gray and black, ruffle on the bottom. Size Large because the Medium arms were too dang small.

Digitizing My Childhood (Pics)

Birth - 11th grade

Highly recommend everyone going through this practice!

Observations:

-My teeth were a mess
-I loved gel
-I was an early dead ringer for 'Jersey Shore'
-The curling iron was not my friend
-My eyebrows were on another planet

The Beginning of My Dance 'Career'

I'm in the process of scanning a slew of pictures and came across this gem today.

This was taken when I was oh, about 8 or 9? I was leading a traditional style of Macedonian dancing, aka 'oro'. You've most likely seen this on tv, movies (ex. 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding'). My mom is next to me and next to her, is my dad (yah, they were a good looking couple!). They were witnesses to a wedding ceremony and considered 'Head Hanchos' of the wedding party. Next to my dad is my cousin and uncle.

This photo is perfect for a variety of reasons:

-The look on our faces is so serious, so 'watch out, we're coming through'
-I picked up dancing at a  young age. Leading dances of this sort, with the look of an adult,   was our family's parlor/party joke. 'Oh, have you seen our little girl break it down oro-style?'
-The hand perfectly placed on my hip goes back to constant practices I had in my parents' small living room in Warren, Michigan
-To this day, me and my mom are one of the first people to hit the dance floor at weddings

I can't wait until little Liljana leads her first oro:).

About

I am a Chicago based Emmy winning blogger and digital media veteran. My work on the web began in 1996 and feel incredibly lucky to have experienced every milestone of digital innovation. During my dot com breaks, I spent time in France, traveled on the Queen Mary 2, started a few of my own websites and was made fun of by Jay Leno. Today, I enjoy my time being the VP of Strategy for Edelman Digital. All ideas and opinions on this site are my own.

Full background here.

Coming from a family of small business owners, I am passionate about helping other local businesses with understanding how social media can move the revenue dial. At the same time, I'm addicted to problem solving and showing corporations how digital media is a key component to their overall marketing plans.

I'm also a new mom and am on the hunt for replacing the term 'Mommy Blogger' with something more pithy.
